A) While Hamilton Technology Solutions stands behind the quality and integrity of our work, we can not guarantee technology or services sold by other companies. We can, and do, recommend the best products and solutions we know about, and often we'll recommend that our customers use known quality components in order to leverage our experience with specific products or companies. We also help represent our customers to vendors and manufactures when there are problems, and almost always find that having our experienced team representing you results in quicker, more satisfactory outcomes then going it alone. 

 

Q) What can Hamilton Technology Solutions do to help if I have problems with my systems or network?

 

A) Hamilton Technology Solutions will provide the same high-quality service to resolving your occasional technology issues or questions as we do any other problem or solution we work on.

 

We have found that our knowledge, experience, and communication skills often enable us to resolve problems with technology and service providers more quickly and effectively then when our customers attempt to resolve problems themselves. Some customers like to have us handle problem identification and resolution, others prefer to use us as an "expert resource" and work with the technology or service providers themselves, and some can handle most problems with Hamilton Technology Solutions in the loop at all - the choice is up to you, based on your interests and desires, time availability, and budget.

A) Yes, we can help with any of these systems.

A) Yes. Increasingly digital products are entering our homes and businesses, and Hamilton Technology Advisors can help you understand how these products work, and how you'd likely benefit from owning one of them. We can help select those most compatible with your existing equipment, in purchasing, installing, and in helping you learn how to use them efficiently. We can also help you think through your future purchase and upgrades of new components, and ensure that your purchases accommodate both current and future uses.

A) Yes, Hamilton Technology Solutions has experience with various kinds of high-speed networks, including the Cable Modem broadband and telephone line DSL broadband available in the Boston and North Shore areas. We have also installed and maintained office and home wired and wireless networks for our customers.

 

Q) Can Hamilton Technology Solutions help me get my own email address (e.g. myName@myBusiness.com or myFirstName@myLastName.com)?

 

A) Yes, Hamilton Technology Solutions can help you create your own email and web domain - in fact, it's easy and fairly inexpensive! We have found that both business and home users enjoy not having to deal with changing their email when their network/ISP changes its name, or when you switch.

 

Q) How long should I plan and budget for a new system configuration and installation?

 

A) The amount of time required to configure and install a computer can vary greatly based on the specific components chosen, the software and applications needed, and the network and networking features desired. Generally it requires 3-4 hours of time to configure, acquire, setup, install software, install network, customize, and train on a new system. We'll keep you informed with the time and level of effort required for your systems so you can effectively plan and budget. Our experience has been longer engagements have been due to more involved systems or network usage - and in those more complex situations Hamilton Technology Solutions knowledge and experience provides even more valuable in creating effective solutions that satisfy your needs.
